Some lines of often heard dialogue from military and war films. UPDATED 9 July 2004.
- Fire in the hole!
- Lock and load!
- Man down.
- Sir, yes, sir!
- You’ve got a bogey on your six!
- As a matter of fact, it does say “Colonel” on my uniform.
- On your feet, soldier.
- Ten hut!
- Move ‘em out!
- MEDIC!
- I have tone lock.
- Go to periscope depth.
- Release counter-measures.
- Dive, dive, dive!
- Prepare a targeting solution.
- Right full rudder.
- Hold your position.
- Niner.
- Fall back.
- Stand down.
- Call in an air strike.
- Officer on deck.
- At ease.
- Assemble your team.
- Never leave a man behind.
- Begging the General’s pardon.
- Delay that order.
- Bomb’s away!
- Incoming!
- Take the shot.
- You have a “go.”
- You have your orders.
- That’s classified.
- Permission to speak freely, sir? With all due respect, sir…
- That information is on a “need-to-know” basis.
- I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you.
- In the rear with the gear.
- I need a clip.
- Cover me.
- We’re going in.
- The helm is not responding.
- It’s quiet.
Too quiet. - Battle stations! Battle stations!
- All hands on deck!
- Pull out! (alternately, Pull your team out!)
- You can be my wingman anytime.
